NAIHARN VIEWPOINT
Black Rock is a popular viewpoint located above Naiharn Beach. This viewpoint is named after the large black rock that sits atop the hill and offers breathtaking views of the beach and surrounding area.
According to the legend, a princess from a nearby kingdom was once kidnapped and brought to the hill where she was held captive. Her lover, a brave warrior, climbed the hill to rescue her and they both fled to safety. As a symbol of their love and bravery, the couple left behind two rocks that are said to have magical powers.
To reach Black Rock, visitors can take a short hike up the hill from Naiharn Beach. The hike takes around 20-30 minutes and can be steep in some areas, so visitors should wear proper footwear and bring plenty of water. The hike is relatively easy and suitable for all ages, but visitors should be prepared for some rough terrain.
Once at the top of Black Rock, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of Naiharn Beach, Promthep Cape, and the Andaman Sea. The view from Black Rock is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, as the sky takes on a range of stunning colors. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic or take some beautiful photos at the viewpoint.
